Please join us in a warm welcome to our newest team member, Tina L. D. Long! Tina joins our team full time in Anchorage, as our Alaska Regional Business Counselor.
Strengthening, supporting, and developing disadvantaged, rural and Alaska Native small businesses has been a goal of Tina L. D. Long’s career. As Native PTAC’s Business Counselor for Alaska, Tina is bringing over eight years of experience working to develop SBA certified 8(a) companies and contract administration. Her resume includes experience in management and administration, marketing and business development, planning, construction management, project management, proposal writing and editing, personnel management, plus, years of work to enhance economies in rural Alaska.
Most recently, Tina served as Corporate Business Development Manager, General Manager, and DC Regional Support Manager for an ANC holding company and its subsidiaries in DC and CA. She helped capture and manage Federal contracts (ranging in size up to $500M) for four ANC 8(a) enterprises. She has researched markets, bid opportunities and solicitations, prepared and presented business capabilities and proposal documents regularly to Federal government officials in coastal states from MD to FL and CA to AK. Additionally, relationships have been built with agency representatives, industry and trade organizations. Previously, she worked with numerous tribes and ANCSA village corporations, the State of Alaska and several statewide not-for-profit entities.
Tina is a lifelong Alaskan, and an ANCSA regional and village corporation shareholder. She has a BBA in Business Administration and Marketing from University of Washington and a Certificate in Contract Management from ESI/George Washington University.
