What’s happening in Washington’s Electronic Business Solution (WEBS)? |
WEBS will undergo a vendor refresh that will begin May 9 and end on July 1, 2017.
All registered vendors in WEBS will be instructed to log into their WEBS account and update the following 3 items: 1. Vendor contact information and profile, if any changes have occurred. 2. Add or remove commodity codes associated to their registered account. 3. Vendors will need to select their small business status and attest the information selected is correct. Vendors who do not update their account by July 1 will be moved to the “inactive” status in WEBS, and will no longer receive notification of solicitation opportunities. Why is this happening?Currently there are approximately 42,000 vendors registered in WEBS. Some of these accounts contain outdated information causing undeliverable notifications when you select specific commodity codes to send the solicitation opportunity. The refresh will result in a more accurate number of vendors receiving the notification opportunity. This information will allow you to better determine if there is a need to reach additional vendors, narrow or broaden the commodity codes selected, continue with the solicitation as planned, or potentially postpone or cancel the solicitation. Questions? If you have any questions or comments, please contact WEBS Customer Support or call (360) 902-7400. |
