Project consists of the lowering and re-alignment of NE Pacific Place roadway between NE Pacific Street and Montlake Blvd. NE; realignment of the Burke Gilman Trail; seismic upgrades to the existing parking garage structure beneath the Montlake Triangle; construction of a Pedestrian Landbridge connecting the Montlake Triangle to Lower Rainier Vista; installation of a ramp to allow commuters to access the Montlake Pedestrian bridge (constructed by others); and associated site work at Lower Rainier Vista and the Montlake Triangle. This project, when completed, will provide infrastructure necessary to accommodate pedestrian and bicycle commuters and those arriving and departing via Link Light Rail in the vicinity of the Montlake Triangle.

This is estimated at $18 M. There are 12 open bid packets and 3 for pre-qualified bidders. These are expected to go out mid October with 3 weeks for submittal.

The project is due to start January, 2014 and complete early August 2015.

Requests for bid will be posted on Builder’s Exchange under Sellen’s posted projects and in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.

These bids present an opportunity for subcontracting as well. Subcontractors can contact bidding primes to submit for portions of the overall package.

All bids must include:

  • Bid Form
  • Bid Security if over $300,000
  • Completed Buy America form

These packages are subject to Buy America and Davis Bacon regulations. Awarded bidders will also be required to submit a Job Specific Safety Plan.

The project has goals of 10% MBE and 6% WBE, Certified through OMWBE.
