Pre-bid site meeting at 12:30 pm on July 13, 2016 at UW Power Plant 3900 Jefferson Road on the Seattle Campus.
Bid Bonds are required.
Successful bidder will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds and Insurance.
Subcontractor / Supplier Goals, Set Asides, Preferences
Voluntary goals of 10% MBE and 6% WBE. Participation may be on a direct basis or as a subcontractor or supplier.
Scope of work
One 5KV switch and one stand alone 5KV main breaker section of switchgear will be removed from an existing electrical room in the Power Plant basement. Contractor will provide a new section of switchgear with a 2000A breaker to replace the removed unit and will install an owner furnished S&C fused switch. Some limited conduit and conductor removal and replacement is required. In addition conduit and wire for DC station power and communications are to be installed. Contractor shall coordinate, obtain and pay for all Permit fees associated with this project.
