 The Owner wishes to make available any and all opportunities to employ any and all willing Puyallup Tribal members as well as other Native-Americans who are qualified for work on the Project. The Owner also wishes to assist those who are willing to be trained and nurtured for jobs, developing the skills and qualifications for work in construction and construction related trades. The Owner wishes to see from each RFP respondent a proven track record in establishing and implementing tribal training and hiring practices at all levels of participation, including subcontractors and suppliers. Please cite specific projects and methods you and your subcontractors have successfully employed to identify, recruit and employ Native Americans.
Scope of work
The purpose of this notice is to solicit proposals for an Owner’s Representative for the future expansion of gaming facilities in Tacoma, Washington. The initial phase of the project includes the construction of a 1,500 stall parking garage that will serve a new gaming facility. This will be a multi-year contract. It is anticipated this will be a dual phase contract which begins with the design and construction work to be performed is considered large complex phased multi-million dollar project. Work will begin immediately upon award of the contract. It is expected that construction of the proposed garage will be completed as soon as practicable. The initial scope of work for the Owner’s Representatives will be to finish the garage plan documents and commence construction of the garage as expeditiously as possible. Plan documents for the garage facility are in the “design development” stage for civil, structural and MEP engineering.
