Section 1: Background
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Crow Creek Agency (Agency) is seeking to procure on site instructor led and web hosted classes for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which will allow technology software systems to assist in sound management of natural resources on trust lands located within the exterior boundaries of the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Students will be taught basics in the following areas:
1) GIS Data: concept/principles, creation, storage, editing, generation;
2) GPS Field Utilization: Operating GPS equipment, data entry/collection, data transfer;
3) Mapping: concept/principles, creating consistent functional maps, official documentation using maps
