The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is conducting a Disadvantaged Business  Enterprise (DBE) Disparity Study. The Study will examine:

  • The utilization and availability of DBE
  • Race- and gender-based barriers to full and fair opportunities to compete for WSDOT’s prime contracts and subcontracts
  • The experiences of all types of firms with WSDOT’s DBE program and overall contracting policies

WSDOT will be hosting  a series of Study informational meetings to ensure opportunity for interested people across  the state to participate in the Study. These meetings will:

  • Provide an introduction to the Study team
  • Explain the legal and regulatory standards applicable to studies and the DBE program
  • Describe the Study process and timeline for completion
  • Include information on how to provide further input
