Getting Started In the Government Marketplace – Webinar

Once again, we are thrilled to offer our Native PTAC community our Government Market Foundations Series. This series of fourteen different webinars will run from January through June 2016. We have partnered with the Govology to bring you this series. These classes are only offered free of charge to our Native PTAC clients, their employees, and our partners.

This webinar is designed for new firms taking their first steps in the government marketplace. In this webinar, you will learn how to use market research to zero in on your target agencies, and select the right NAICS codes and Product Service codes to optimize your positioning as a contractor.

In addition, we explain how to:

  • obtain a free DUNS number,
  • register in the System for Award Management (SAM)
  • properly set up and optimize an SBA profile

We also discuss similarities and differences between federal contracting and doing business at the state and local levels. In conclusion, we explain how PTAC can offer support in helping small businesses get started in their government market pursuits.
