Government contractors, large and small alike, have a major new opportunity to grow, develop, and compete: the SBA’s new small business mentor-protege program, which officially takes effect on August 24, 2016. Open to all small businesses (including SDVOSBs, HUBZones, WOSBs/EDWOSBs, 8(a)s, and “regular” smalls), the new program will change the landscape of federal set-aside contracting.

In this webinar, government contracts attorney Steven Koprince provides a detailed guide to the new program, including eligibility to participate, requirements for a mentor-protege agreement, and an overview of how to form a mentor/protege joint venture.

About the Presenter:
Steven Koprince is the Managing Partner of Koprince Law in Lawrence KS with a practice focusing on federal government contracts and small business law. He is also the author of The Small-Business Guide to Government Contracts (AMACOM Books, 2012), and has published a number of articles on government contracting (to include teaming), which have appeared in leading legal and industry publications. Steven has spoken to audiences across the country on government contracting and small business matters, and blogs regularly on similar topics at SmallGovCon (smallgovcon.com).
