June 16, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm AKDT

$60

AK PTAC

Registration Deadline: 6/15/2016 5:00 PM (AKDT)

With today’s technology and significantly more useful information being placed in the public domain by the U.S. Government, acquiring information and potential contract opportunities has become easier. That is, if you know what you’re looking for and where to look. Nonetheless, identifying real opportunities for your business pipeline can done effectively, but it can be challenging. In this course we will dive into valuable and proven techniques (and sources!) to ensure that your pipeline is well managed and garners favorable results. We will discuss the common issues that clog most business opportunity pipelines and how to avoid them altogether. Business owners and company leaders will learn fundamentals for creating and using a sales pipeline and how to put rules in place to define what’s allowed in and how to move opportunities from lead to proposal. You will be surprised on how easy these processes are once established! Moreover, we will: • define and differentiate Suspects, Prospects, Leads and Opportunities; • discuss the Business Development Life Cycle process, a system implemented to organize and win new business (contracts and subcontracts); and • develop a working knowledge of Market Research to develop Market and Competitive Intelligence to increase the number of opportunities visible and boost win confidence. Added bonus: Participants will receive free access to very relevant and useful resources for managing business opportunities.
