Is Your Business Ready for F-35 Military Constructions and Other Federal Contracting Opportunities?

The Alaska SBA will provide information on their programs and services; an overview of the federal procurement process/strategies for such requirements as the F-35 Military Construction requirements; and other federal requirements taking place in interior Alaska. SBA works closely with federal procurement agencies such as the Army Corps of Engineers to ensure the small businesses are given the opportunities to participant. The following will also be covered:
– The Small Business Programs and Federal Goals – HUBZone, 8(a), Women-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned and Small Business –impacts on federal procurement
– The Procurement Process – “Rule of Two”
– Teaming Arrangements (prime/subcontracting or joint venture)
– Where to Find the Opportunities
Workshops will be conducted by Marichu Relativo, Deputy District Director, SBA Alaska District. Feedback from the audience is welcomed at the end of the presentation. This is one of many series of workshops that will be scheduled throughout the year to assist your business with the federal government. Future workshops will be conducted by SBA and its resource partners (SBDC, PTAC, SCORE), with guest appearances from the federal procurement offices such as Eielson AFB, Fort Wainwright, and Army Corps of Engineers.
