The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) invites you to attend the Pre-Submittal Conference for multiple projects. These conferences will cover construction projects that are bidding in July, August and September of 2014.
For bidder convenience (attendance is encouraged, but is optional) the conference will be conducted:
July 11, 2014
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
U.S. Small Business Administration
Training Room
2401 4th Ave Suite 450
Seattle, WA 98121
(4th & Battery Building)
In addition to presentation of project teams and overview of the scopes of work and conditions the Pre-Submittal Conference is an opportunity for interested Prime bidders and subcontractors (all tiers and suppliers) to meet each other, and to meet with the Project Teams and Outreach Managers to learn about the bid strategy and supplier diversity expectations for these projects. The Supplier Diversity portion of the agenda will provide an opportunity for interested bidders to understand how the state is certifying and measuring supplier diversity inclusion.
Representatives from DES’s Supplier Diversity Program, the Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises, and the Department of Veterans Affairs may also be in attendance to discuss the state’s supplier diversity goals. Agendas are attached and are subject to change. We look forward to meeting you.
The Project Teams will present overviews of the Projects and associated conditions, followed by a supplier diversity discussion.
